Review: Barry M Waterproof Eyeliner in Bold Black

Barry M is a high-street cosmetics brand that isn't available in Singapore, so I decided I must get my hands on some. :D ASOS is an excellent place to shop for UK products not available in Singapore and so I bought the Barry M Bold Black Waterproof Eyeliner. (Actually, I purchased it in Blue and Bronze as well. Bad Sam.)

Typical packaging with a cheap-ish transparent plastic cover that looks like it's going to crack quickly.
Rich creamy black!
The colour looks amazing in the swatch - it's a creamy, shameless bold black.

Meh, obviously not very well-drawn. After all these years of drawing eyeliner, it seems like it's still not one of my stronger suits.

The eyeliner tip is so soft that it goes blunt very quickly. It was difficult for me to draw a sharp end so I topped it up with my Clio Pen Liner.

Headed out for a whole day of fun with a double date with my best friend and her husband.

Eyeshadow Primer: UDPP in Sin
Lid: Tease (from Urban Decay Naked Palette)
Contour: Suspect (from UD Naked Palette)
Outer V: YDK (from UD Naked Palette)
Middle: Half-Baked (from UD Naked Palette)
Eyeliner: Barry M Waterproof Eyeliner in Bold Black + Clio Pen Liner (for the sharp wing)
Inner Eye: Some cheap brandless eyeliner crayon I got off Qoo10 for like S$3?
Mascara: Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara (2 coats)

After about 10 hours of fun (lunch, trekking to and from shopping malls and shopping to our hearts' content...), here's how the eyeliner fared.

I look like I have crazy eyes.

WHOA. Pretty amazeballs. It held up pretty well, with slight fading and little to no transfer to crease. There was some smudging to the lower lashline, but nothing I couldn't wipe off throughout the day when I made restroom trips. That's still quite commendable.

Generally, my makeup held up pretty well for a long day!

For a cheap eyeliner that is GBP$3.99 (which is less than S$10), this is a really good-quality eyeliner. I don't know how well it'll hold up against tears but it appears that once set, this pretty much wouldn't budge. And for such a soft and creamy eyeliner with intense colour payoff, I would say it's worth every cent.

Purchase the eyeliner from ASOS!

(I really should list the products for the rest of my face as well. However, some of these pictures are from some time back and I forgot to note down what face primer/blusher/foundation I used so shall do so for new pictures from now on!)
